Craftsmanship in stone
New Porch Gallery
#1-(Below) We completed this large traditional front porch on Island Park Drive in Ottawa in Spring 2009.The work includes natural stone walls to support the columns for the arched canopy. Before, during and after pictures are shown here.
For the purposes of this gallery, we are defining a porch as a platform leading into a house, with or without steps, that has a roof, could be screened, but without solid walls or windows. This page shows several jobs that Summerstone has done in the last few years. All pictures are thumbnails and can be clicked on to see a bigger picture.
#3- (Below) This traditional porch was added to a home in Old Ottawa South by Summerstone in 2011, changing the character of the home significantly.
#4- (Below) This traditional front porch was built by Summerstone in the Fall of 2010. In this case , the work was not a rebuild. Although the home is about 100 years old, it appeared to never have had a real usable porch before. We did design, demolition, and construction of the new porch. It will be stained and painted by the owners to coordinate with the home
Below are individual snapshots of a variety of porches built by Summerstone between 1991 and 2012

#2-Below- We built this arched porch canopy on a flagstone walk in Manor Park in 2010. Before and after pictures are shown.
This porch with balcony was added to this house in the Glebe in 2012. The balcony floor is water proof, allowing the main deck to be used in inclement weather.
